Average fair trade shopping basket in France 2002-2017

Sales of fairly traded products in France have experienced a rapid growth in the last two decades. Since 2014, the definition of fair trade has been broadened to domestic production, which has also contributed to this success. In 2017, French consumers' average basket of fair trade products amounted to 8.35 euros. It represents more than twice the spendings from 2007 (3.38 euros).
