VPRS 15546 Curriculum Areas Magazines and Newsletters

This series consists of curriculum magazines and newsletters published by the Education Department and successors. All of the publications in this series were created to assist teachers responsible for teaching specialised subjects. Most of the publications in this series were maintained and bound by the Ministry of Education Library.Specific publications in this series are:P1 Consignment: Exchange (date range in custody 1970 to 1983) a magazine for the dissemination of ideas among teachers of English in Technical Schools produced by the Standing Committee for English in Technical Schools..P2 Consignment: Polycom (date range in custody 1973 to 1985), a bulletin produced for teachers of non-English speaking migrant children.P3 Consignment: Review Bulletin (date range in custody 1974 to 1991) produced by the Library Branch to assist teacher librarians in book selection. The Bulletin consists largely of book reviews written by reacher-librarians.P4 Consignment: C-Scope (date range in custody 1977 to 1986). This was the newsletter of the Curriculum Standing Committee for Primary Education.P5 Consignment: Inter View (date range in custody 1980 to 1985), a magazine published three times a year as a forum for the discussion of issues relating to the learning environment of children.P6 Consignment: Chalkface, published four time a year for primary teachers from 1981 to 1991. Produced by the Research and Development Section of the Curriculum Branch, Chalkface contained practical suggestions for primary teachers, ideas from these teachers and reviews.P7 Consignment: Curriculum Branch Newsletter produced fortnightly between 1986-1987.P8 Consignment consists of a variety of Curriculum Program newsletters that were bound into three volumes.
