Files in the folder "LPJmL_rzsm_hist.zip" are named as NN_rzsm_hist_M.tif, in which: NN refers to the name of an Earth system model, of which the outputs were used as forcing in the LPJmL runs rzsm refers to "root zone soil moisture" hist refers to historical period 1850-2014 M refers to name of month (jan for January etc.)
