Published data were used in a project focused on identifying fungal species on archival audio-visual materials. The sampling was performed in the year 2021. Samples were collected in two state archives in the Czech Republic (State Regional Archive Trebon and Moravian Provincial Archive Brno). The swabs were taken from the photographic upper layers using sterile polyurethane sponges, which are gentle on the materials.
