This generalized landuse/landcover classification of the lower Delmarva Peninsula south of Snow Hill and Princess Ann, MD focuses on major habitats and vegetative communities of the Virginia Coast Reserve LTER. The classification is based on a Landsat 5 Thematic Mapper (TM) satellite image taken on July 28, 1993 at 15:02 GMT (11:02 EDT), which is within 15 minutes of observed low tide as recorded by the VCRLTER tide gauge at Redbank, VA.
