Exploration of the somatic mutational landscape of naked mole rats. This study comprises of a pan-body investigation of mutational burden and mutational signature across multiple tissue types of naked mole rats. The study utilizes laser-capture microdissection to isolate tissue samples followed by WGS-LCMB. Naked-mole rats demonstrate a plethora of novel characteristics such as unexpected longevity and scarce cancer incidence which makes them the focus of this study.
