Buzz Aldrin or Edwin Eugene Aldrin Jr., is a former astronaut and engineer recognized as being one of the first people to walk on the moon following Neil Armstrong during their Apollo 11 spaceflight in 1969. He is also noted as the first person to hold a religious ceremony on the lunar surface.
