Gekko gecko Genome sequencing and assembly

The whole genome assembly of the tokay gecko (Gekko gecko) is part of an Integrated study on tail regeneration and development of the tokay gecko, including transcriptomic and single-cell sequencing studies. The genome was assembled from Oxford Nanopore long reads polished with Illumina short reads. This whole genome assembly is intended to be used for a reference on transcriptome and single-cell sequencing analysis. We are aware of the Fort Lauderdale and Toronto agreements in publicly sharing our data before publication, which is planned for the end of 2023.
