Identification of Mineralocorticoid receptor targets in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC)

Genome wide analysis of expression data in PBMC of three healthy male probands upon stimulation with vehicle only, aldosterone, cortisol, aldosterone and cortisol in physiological amounts in order to identify putative MR-target genes. PBMC of three healthy males were isolated. Cell culture was performed incubating each probands PBMCs in adosterone (1ng/ml), cortisol (1000ng/ml), aldosterone (1ng/ml) and cortisol (1000ng/ml), and vehicle respectively for three hours at room temperature. RNA was then isolated, transcribed into cDNA and blotted onto two Illumina HT12 Beadchips (named A and B, with B being a thenical replicate).
