De novo sequencing and assembly of Arisaema heterophyllum Blume transcriptome

The medicinal herb, Arisaema heterophyllum Blume (AhBl), has been applied to treat various diseases as a traditional Chinese medicine. However, its transcriptome information is unavailable, which impedes the further study of this valuable resource. To investigate the genes relevant to important biosynthesis and metabolic pathways of AhBl, we deeply carried out transcriptome sequencing. Our study provides a unique dataset for the systematic analysis of AhBl function and expression characteristics, and could facilitate the future study of the pharmacological mechanism of AhBl.
