We investigated the role of protein arginine methyltransferase 5 (PRMT5) in leukemia patient cells with inversion of chromosome 3. This rearrangement leads to overexpression of the proto-oncogene EVI1 (ecotropic virus integration site 1). To further investigate the mechanism of PRMT5 dependency in these cells, we performed transcriptome and splicing analyses. RNA-Seq transcriptome analysis of OCI-AML-20 cell line, DMSO control and PRMT5 inhibitor treated with three biological replicates. Note from submitter: This is a human-derived cell line as such we will need to upload the raw data to the EGA.
