Global Methane (CH₄) Emissions Dataset (Excluding LULUCF), 1970–2024

This dataset contains country-level data on methane (CH₄) emissions (total, excluding LULUCF, measured in Mt CO₂e) for 203 countries over the period 1970–2024. The original data are obtained from the World Bank World Development Indicators database. The dataset has been processed by the author, including data cleaning, harmonization of country names, and construction of a balanced panel used for distribution dynamics and Markov chain analysis.
