This project aimed to observe Degree Heating Week induced changes in the microbiome of different genotypes of nursery reared Acropora cervicornis actively being used for restoration in South Florida. We evaluated the prokaryotic community (bacteria and archaea) of 23 genotypes of A. cervicornis under non-thermal stress conditions vs. thermal stress conditions that took place in the 2023 Florida Marine Heatwave.This was done in collaboration with these various institutions:MBE, University of Miami, Miami, FL, United StatesCooperative Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Studies, University of Miami, Miami, FL, United StatesAtlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Miami, FL, United States
