Phylograms and chronograms generated using the plastome data of East Asian Cerris oaks and their relatives

This dataset includes phylograms and chronograms generated using the plastome data of East Asian Cerris oaks and their relatives. Phylogenetic analyses were performed using both maximum likelihood (via iqtree v.1.6.12) and Bayesian approaches (via MrBayes v.3.2.7), with binary-coded indels either included (192 tips) or excluded (178 tips). The chronograms were obtained by BEAST v.2.7.7 under eight single-age-prior dating experiments (fossil 1b, 2, 3a, 3b, 4a, 4b, 5, and 6) and two multiple-age-prior dating experiments (fossil 2+ 3a and 2 + 3a +5).
