Ideal attachment points for lateral patellar sling suture in dogs

Data set from a retrospective analysis of the following patient groups:normal large breed dogslarge breed dogs with CCL rupturenormal small breed dogssmall breed dogs with CCL rupturesmall breed dogs with MPLCoordinate data were sourced from ImageJ2 for 3 landmarks along the trochlear ridge, fabellar centre, best-fit circle centre, and caudal aspect of Blumensaat's line. Blumensaat's line was used to scale, translate and transform all data.Radii were derived between the best-fit centre and fabellar centre and the trochlear landmarks for statistical comparison in a linear mixed model (not shown).Fabellar centre coordinates and best-fit centre coordinates were compared using MANOVA with MV pairwise comparisons (not shown).<br>Comparison of radii from best-fit centre to patellar centre or trochlear ridge for 9 large breed dogs using fluoroscopic images, to show that the trochlear ridge is a reasonable proxy for the patellar centre.<br>Published in VCOT.
