Herein, we present the complete mitochondrial genome of the Jaguar Loach (Yasuhikotakia splendida Roberts 1995). The sequence was determined from an aquarium specimen using a next-generation sequencing approach. The annotated Y. splendida mitogenome was 16,695 bp in length and contained 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes, and 22 transfer RNA genes. The Y. splendida mitogenome displayed an A + T bias with an overall base composition of 32.0% A, 24.7% T, 27.6% C, and 15.7% G.
