This series consists of a document in large format which may have been displayed as a poster and used for purposes such as staff transfers or arranging relief. A note at the top indicates that it was reprinted in April 1951 and presumably lists all fire fighting personnel at the date. It would therefore appear that there were previous items in this series but their whereabouts is unknown. Officers are listed according to the following ranks: Senior Fireman; First Class Fireman "A" grade; First Class Fireman "B" grade; second, third and fourth class firemen; probationary fireman; Service maintenance section. For each officer the following details are shown - a number (possibly indicating seniority) surname; initials, station number; platoon and appointment date. Various symbols indicate qualifications or status, including: qualified by examination for higher rank; certified proto operator; qualifier proto operator or reduced in seniority. Some names are either underlined or crossed through. It is unknown when this occurred. There is no indication of the period of time for which this document remained current. The original document is fragile and has been encapsulated.
