In this study two olive cultivars (Leccino and Cellina di Nardo), known to be resistant and susceptible, respectively, to Xylella fastidiosa subsp. pauca De Donno strain (ST53), were artificially inoculated with Xylella fastidiosa subsp. sandyi, CO33 strain (ST72), to evaluate the molecular and phenotypic plant response against the pathogen.
