The aim was to evaluate the effect of probiotics and synbiotics on the composition of gut microbiota in patients with type 2 diabetes. Subjects were given probiotics, Synbiotics or placebo for three months and faeces were collected at the beginning and end to evaluate changes in gut microbiota before and after the interventions
