资源简介:
The Time Series of Potential US Wildland Fire Smoke Exposures (WFSmokeExp) data represent a spatial and temporal intersection of U.S. population data with wildfire smoke data from 2010 – 2019. Data from NOAA’s Hazard Mapping System’s Smoke Product are combined with data from the U.S. Census Block Group Population Centers to estimate a potential exposure using light, medium, or heavy categories. The result is a table of locations and daily smoke observations with each row displaying data for a single block group and day. The data are stored in csv format in the Harvard Dataverse Repository, a free data repository, and are useful in helping to understand the burden of wildfire smoke on communities across the U.S. The data set also encourages more research on impacts of wildfire smoke on the health of U.S. Populations.
