Candida tropicalis isolate:Karbala-1-A1 Genome sequencing

This project presents the first full genome assemblies of Candida tropicalis isolates collected in Karbala Province, Iraq, comparing two distinct host age groups: children (isolate A1) and elderly individuals (isolate B3). The study aims to characterize genomic variation, potential age-associated adaptations, and pathogenicity determinants in these clinical isolates. High-quality de novo assemblies will enable comparative analyses with global C. tropicalis genomes, provide insights into regional fungal diversity, and inform future epidemiological and therapeutic strategies. Data generated include genome assemblies, annotations, and associated metadata describing host age, collection site, and clinical context.
