Robust assessment of sample preparation protocols for proteomics of cells and tissues

For proteomics studies, protein extraction and digestion protocols are essential steps to obtain reliable and reproductible results. Due to its importance and the different models of study in the proteomic field, we evaluated for THP-1 macrophages three well-established methods and, for liver tissue, two commonly used protocol for protein extraction with two lysis buffer options.
