The effect of maternal diet and a maternal-diet-by-offspring-diet interaction on daughters.

A high-fat maternal diet increased the body weights of high-fat-fed daughters in adulthood, led to more brown fat, a borderline significant increase in reproductive fat pad weight, and increased serum levels of leptin. However, a high-fat maternal diet actually decreased levels of glucose and triglycerides in the daughters.
