Supplementary material for "Towards the socio-algorithmic construction of fairness: the case of automatic price-surging in ride-hailing."

This is supplementary material for the following publication: Dolata, M., & Schwabe, G. (2024). Towards the socio-algorithmic construction of fairness: the case of automatic price-surging in ride-hailing. International Journal of Human–Computer Interaction, 40(1), 55-65. The supplementary material consists of two documents including: 1. The summary of codes applied to identify arguments for or against price surging collected on twitter and reddit (as described Section 3.1 and provided in Table 1 in the original article). 2. The actual data collected on the platforms described in Section 3.1 with coding. Since the data has been collected from proprietary platforms like LexisNexis and Factiva, which require paid subscriptions, as well as from portals such as Reddit or Twitter, which provide access only to registered users, we refrained from making it publicly available in alignment with the terms and conditions of those platforms.
