In this study, the TGME49_279420 and TGME49_305270 genes of the Toxoplasma gondii RH strain were knocked out respectively, and it was found that the virulence of the knockout strains was attenuated compared to the wild-type RH strain. To explore the molecular basis of attenuated virulence in TGME49_279420 knockout strain and the TGME49_305270 knockout strain, RNA sequencing and differential gene expression analysis were conducted.
