A Geospatial Catalog of Atmospheric Observations in 18th-Century Iberian Documentary Sources

This dataset provides a systematic compilation and georeferencing of 35 atmospheric phenomena recorded in Iberian primary sources during the 18th century. The data has been extracted from the National Historical Archive of Spain and standarized into a machine-readable format (CSV) using WGS84 coordinates. This catalog includes chronological data, observational vectors, and localized descripctions as reported by contemporary witnesses. Using a methodology rooted in Archaeoastronomy and Digital Philology, the dataset aims to provide a reliable observational framework for multidisciplinary research, allowing for the spatial and temporal analysis of high-energy atmospheric events recorded in historical documentation.
