Chemical compositions and Sr-Nd isotopes of marine sediments recovered from IODP Site U1553, on the Campbell Plateau

We measured chemical compositions and Sr-Nd isotopic ratios from deep-sea sediments at International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) Site U1553, located on the Campbell Plateau, south of New Zealand. We report the data from 64 bulk sediment samples, 16 leached fractions, and 18 residue fractions after an acetic acid leaching process. The age model of Site U1553 was determined by biostratigraphic and magnetostratigraphic ages based on the Geologic Time Scale 2012 (Röhl et al., 2022).

This dataset contains six tables and one compiled dataset. Table S1 shows the bulk chemical concentrations of the Site U1553 samples. Tables S2 and S3 present the REE concentrations in the U1553 leachate and residue samples, respectively. In addition, Table S2 includes Al concentrations in the U1553 leachate samples. Tables S4, S5, and S6 present the Sr and Nd isotopic compositions of the U1553 bulk, leachate, and residue samples, respectively. All tables are provided as separate files. Dataset S1 provides a compilation of the seawater Nd isotope data shown in Figure 7a in Tanaka et al. (2025).
