The dataset accompanies the associated original research publication. It contains the original scanning transmission electron microscopy images in .emd file format. The images were acquired from additively manufactured samples of the nickel-based superalloy IN713LC using a ThermoFisher Spectra 40–300 probe-corrected scanning transmission electron microscope (STEM). This instrument was operated at 300 kV with a beam current between 40–200 pA. A 4k Ceta camera was used to collect TEM and diffraction signals, with a Panther STEM detector array used for STEM imaging and Super-X detectors for energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) data collection.
