Sentinel-1 Dataset for Post-Event Floodwater Segmentation

This dataset accompanies the article “SAGE-UNet: A Mixture-of-Experts Spatially Aware Gated Enhancement U-Net for Floodwater Segmentation from Sentinel-1 SAR and Post-Event Impact Assessment” published in Big Earth Data (https://doi.org/10.1080/20964471.2026.2702216). It contains dynamically scaled post-event Sentinel-1 VV and VH SAR image patches and corresponding reference masks as well as full raw subsets used for DL-based floodwater segmentation. The Test dataset covers the Hannover flood event in Germany (December 2023) and the Valencia flood event in Spain (October 2024).
