Global seafloor hard- and soft-bottom mapping, 0.1° grid [ver202512]

Global mappings of marine hard- and soft-substrates at 0.1° resolution (nominal 11km). Classification uses fuzzy set membership from rock presence and sediment composition. Hard substrates (positive values) support attached epifauna like corals and sponges. Soft substrates (negative values) have burrowing infauna like worms and clams. Values range from -1 (completely soft) to +1 (completely hard). Derived using Compositional Data Analysis (CoDA) and 3D inverse distance weighting (IDW3D).
