This article examines the impact of climate change on the geopolitics of Central Asia. It analyzes the retreat of the Tianshan and Pamir glaciers, water scarcity in the Amu Darya and Syr Darya basins, the desiccation of the Aral Sea, and the implications of these processes for regional security. Particular attention is devoted to Uzbekistan’s ecological diplomacy and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s international initiatives on climate policy.
