资源简介:
This metadata entry refers to measurements of oceanic methane made by Mary Scranton, DMS and DMSP, and halocarbons made during the Challenger 48 research cruise in the North Sea, as part of the North Sea Project (NSP). The cruise began on 14th March 1989 and ended on 26th March 1989 with a spatial coverage of +42N to +43N latitude and +3E to +5E longitude. Samples of methane were collected and analysed via computation from concentration and gas chromatography.
The data consists of:
-132 measurements of the concentration of methane (CH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by gas chromatography; and
-121 measurements of the saturation of methane (CH4) in the water column (dissolved phase) by computation from concentration.
-measurements of oceanic DMS and DMSP
-measurements of oceanic halocarbons - tetrachloromethane, methyl chloroform and bromoform
See below for further details.
