An allotriploid species Cardamine insueta, appeared during the past 150 years by hybridization of C. amara and C. rivularis. While C. amara lives in wet whereas C. rivularis lives in relatively dried habitats, C. insueta is found at the fluctuating habitats. Through submergence treatment, we found that C. insueta and C. rivularis initiated vegetative propagation after submergence, but C. amara did not. This project aims to investigate the processes of submergence treatment among C. insueta and its parental species.
