Adipose-derived stem cell (ASC)-conditioned medium shows therapeutic promise for cardiac repair via paracrine mechanisms. Moreover, in our previous report, cellular priming with butyrate (BA) is a promising approach for modulating the secretory phenotype of ASCs. Therefore, the comprehensive gene expression analysis was conducted on human ASC preconditioned with butyrate. Overall design: To elucidate the gene expression patterns in human ASC following BA treatment, we used HAdpc-29-E7-TERT cells obtained from the Japanese Collection of Research Bioresources Cell Bank. The human ASC was divided into four experimental groups with three biological replicates each (vehicle control, 1.0 mM BA, 3.0 pg/mL TNF-a and 10.0 pg/mL IFN-?, and 1.0 mM BA combined with 3.0 pg/mL TNF-a and 10.0 pg/mL IFN-?). Following culture under these conditions for 72 h, comprehensive gene expression analysis was performed on each sample.
