Safe cycling network and Bike&Ride accessibility classes

The Bike&Ride accessibility classes describe the bike accessibility to public transport stops. The basis is a created "safe cycling network", which takes into account a dedicated cycling infrastructure and is based on the GIP (graphic integration platform). The results must be considered taking into account the assumptions and framework conditions: - Dedicated cycling infrastructure taken into account (definition of safe cycling network) - Methodology for implementation and filtering based on the GIP - Methodology for calculating the areas for the B&R accessibility classes - Targets taken into account (public transport stops) The prototypical analysis of the safe cycling network and the accessibility of public transport stops using the Bike&Ride accessibility classes provides important initial insights. The study provides a snapshot of the safe cycling network mapped in the GIP and the B&R accessibility classes based on it (as of 06/2023).
