The Location of Tropical Research Studies (Data)
收藏资源简介:
The location of recent research in tropical forests. This is data associated with Figure 3 in Y. Malhi et al. (2014) Tropical forests in the Anthropocene. Annual Reviews in Environment and Resources. Volume 39. doi: 10.1146/annurev-environ-030713-155141. The figure is available at the following address: http://dx.doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.1017333 Field studies are identified from all papers with “tropical forest*” in the topic words through a search on ISI’s Web of Science for the journals Biotropica, Conservation Biology, Ecology, Global Change Biology, and Journal of Tropical Ecology (n = 321 articles, ~7% of all possible articles) between 2009-2013. We followed the methods of Pitman (2011 in Tropical Conservation Science), identifying field-based studies either by their locations or their latitude/longitude (represented in decimal degrees in the data set). Where studies had more than one site, either a single center point was chosen or the first/primary of the sites was used.
