The Pernambuco Rainfall Potential Dataset (RPD-PE) is a geospatial precipitation dataset developed to support engineering, hydrological, and water resources applications in the State of Pernambuco, Brazil. The dataset was derived from the Brazilian Daily Weather Gridded Data (BR-DWGD v3.2.4) and provides a set of ready-to-use climatological raster products describing long-term rainfall characteristics for the period 2001–2025. These products summarize precipitation magnitude, variability, seasonality, and climatic extremes, providing a practical alternative to processing the original daily BR-DWGD dataset. The repository also includes the complete workflow used to generate the dataset, including the input data, validation results, Python scripts, and documentation, ensuring full reproducibility of the methodology.
