In this project we have deleted the immune gene LRIM1 in Anopheles stephansi, mosquitoes using CRISPR-Cas9. We observed a significant alterations in the mosquitoes' microbiome. Briefly, the general bacterial loads increased significantly and the microbial community composition had changed. Here we are depositing the FASTQ files of the 16S amplicon sequencing that was done on 5 WT (WT1-WT5) and 5 LRIM1 knockout mosquitoes (KO1-KO5) samples.
