DNA extracted from teeth from two specimens of the extinct horned crocodile from Madagascar, Voay robustus were sequenced using a combination of whole genome and mitochondrial enrichment. The approximately 1300-1400 year old specimens were collected from Holocene deposits in southwestern Madagascar in the 1930s and previously served as reference material for erection of the genus Voay in 2007.
