Gut microbiome obesity index, a new analytical part of the metagenomics workflow to evaluate gut dysbiosis in obese humans

Having access to stool samples from obese people with a wide range of obesity, we analyzed metagenomics data using a standard analytical pipeline previously used in our research, and the results obtained allowed us to create a new method of analysis, named the gut microbiome obesity index, using a set of taxa whose relative abundances correlated with the degree of obesity
