VPRS 3672 Court of Petty Sessions Gold Buyers Register

Under the Gold Buyers Act 1901 a register of judgments on applications was to be maintained by the Clerk of Court of Petty Sessions. Information contained in the register included:- date of the hearing,- name, occupation and address of the applicant,- particulars of the application including the nature (new or for a renewal of a licence), the district in which the licence was available and the situation of the tenement where the licence would be exercised,- details of the dates of publication of statutory notices,- name, residence, occupation and municipality of ratepayers certifying the character of the applicant,- police officer certifying the applicant, the justice ruling on the application, the decision and any remarks.
