Metabolomic Profiling of Methanolic Extract of Zygophyllum arabicum (L.)

This study focuses on the comprehensive metabolomic profiling of the methanolic extract of Zygophyllum arabicum to identify its bioactive phytochemical constituents and evaluate its potential pharmacological significance. Using advanced analytical techniques such as GC–MS, LC–MS, or spectroscopic methods, the extract was investigated for the presence of secondary metabolites including flavonoids, alkaloids, phenolic compounds, terpenoids, fatty acids, and other biologically active molecules. The profiling provides valuable insight into the chemical composition of the plant and supports its traditional medicinal applications. Furthermore, the detected metabolites may contribute to antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and therapeutic activities, highlighting Zygophyllum arabicum as a promising natural source for future pharmaceutical and nutraceutical research.
