NRS-16897 | Register of Admission, Progress and Withdrawal [Wattagon Half-Time School]

The purpose of an admission register was to record basic details about children admitted to the school, and about their parents or guardians. The registers were also used to record the progress of the children through various classes and the date of their leaving the school.This volume contains information pertaining to each pupil including: date of admission; pupil's name, age and religious denomination; date of leaving previous school and class in previous school at time of leaving. The following details are recorded about the child's parents or guardians: name, residence and occupation. The pupil's date of admission to each subsequent grade, date of leaving the school, and the reason for leaving are also recorded.Girls and boys are listed on opposite pages in order of admission, and each are numbered sequentially from the beginning of the volume until 1914. From the beginning of 1915 the numbering of the entries recommences. Those enrolled atb the time of this change were re-entered in 1915.
