IAGOS Observational Data NRT – Time series and vertical profiles

The IAGOS NRT time series and vertical profiles data product contain all in situ observations made by IAGOS instruments (IAGOS-CORE) on board of the IAGOS fleet. Coordinates, timestamp and meteorological variables measured by the aircrart sensors are provided in addition to the observed variables.

NRT data is a special type of Level 1 data that are developed for fast distribution using automated or fast human quality control within a certain short time interval (typically 72 hours) of the measurement. NRT data are provided to operational users such as Copernicus. This dataset is meant to be an intermediate one, which will be no longer accessible to users as soon as the corresponding Level 2 data is available (after it has been fully calibrated about a year after observation).

Three files are provided for each flight: one containing the full time series, one for the take-off profile and one for the landing profile. They contain all the variables at the same time resolution (4 seconds for IAGOS-CORE).
