The short read sequences have been obtained from the genomes of several Bradyrhizobium diazoefficiens USDA 122 spontaneous mutants that are able to induce nodule formation on Rj2-genotype soybeans. These data will be informative to identify the causal factor inducing the symbiotic incompatibility and to study the evolution of bradyrhizobial genome.
