Snow cover observations near Chokurdakh, Russia in 2014

Our research area is located near Chokurdakh (71N, 148E) in Northeastern Siberia, Russia, about 150 km inland from the Arctic sea coast along the Indigirka River. Snow cover observations were made at Kodac station, which is situated in a forest-tundra landscape, and along two transects from Chokurdakh (40 km and 20 km) to south and southwest. The observations include snow depth, snow density and snow water equivalent (SWE).本研究区域坐落于俄罗斯西伯利亚东北部乔库尔达赫（Chokurdakh，71°N，148°E）附近，地处因迪吉尔卡河（Indigirka River）沿岸，距北极海岸内陆约150千米。积雪观测工作分别在位于森林苔原景观中的科达克（Kodac）站，以及从乔库尔达赫向南延伸40千米、向西南延伸20千米的两条样带开展。本次观测的指标包括雪深、雪密度以及雪水当量（Snow Water Equivalent，SWE）。
