Population genomic variation of Ixodes scapularis in North America

Understanding factors that influence the spread of tick-borne disease is a critical problem for public health globally, as ticks expand in distribution and disease incidence increases. How readily ticks move and perform across different environmental gradients will influence future transmission of tick-borne pathogens. Here we generate whole genome resequencing data to examine gene flow and genomic adaptation to local environments across Blacklegged ticks (Ixodes scapularis) in North America.
