Prolonged systemic low grade inflammation contributes to immune imbalance and in-duces chronic disease. However, effective preventions and interventions are unavailable. Chrysanthemum indicum L. is a common herb with a great anti-inflammatory effect in drug-induced models, based on the theory of 'medicine and food homology'.
