Decreased Deep Water Oxygenation at Latest Pliocene in the Subantarctic South Pacific

Data on the major benthic foraminiferal percentage abundance from Site U1541 were generated for this study covering Late Pliocene to Early Pleistocene epoch. Data regarding dominant benthic foraminiferal abundance (%, >250 µm), oxic species assemblage (%), suboxic species assemblage (%), dissolved oxygen concentrations (DO, ml-1 l), benthic foraminiferal accumulation rate (BFAR, g cm-2 kyr-1), organic flux (Jsf, gC cm-2 kyr-1), CaCO3 (%) and carbonate mass accumulation rates (MARcarb, g cm-2 kyr-1) are presented.
