Annotated spectra of proteomics data.zip

The dataset contains spectra data of identified intracellular proteins of <i>Saccharomyces cerevisiae</i> CEN.PK113-7D used in fermentation for bioethanol production from lignocellulosic raw materials. The dataset reflects the identified proteins expressed in the presence of water insoluble solids in a defined medium containing some of the inhibitors derived from pretreatment of lignocellulosic raw materials. The main goal of the work was to determine the effects of water insoluble solids on fermentation performance of <i>Saccharomyces cerevisiae</i>; and to use the potential of proteomics to identify proteins expressed in the presence of water insoluble solids and compare them with proteins expressed in the medium containing no water insoluble solids. Some of the important findings include, in the presence of water insoluble solids, the fermentation rates were enhanced and the proteomics data showed remarkable changes in levels of proteins associated with stress response, energy metabolism and anabolic processes when compared to the proteins expressed in fermentation of medium without water insoluble solids. <br>
